Where should I run my analysis and modelling of images? You can do these on the data science environment using your Azure for Students subscription. Please follow the instructions on this page.

Why is my data science environment not deploying? It may take a while to load the environment once you’ve entered the Public IP address. Please wait while it refreshes. Alternatively, please visit the FAQs page for problems related to deploying and using your data science environment.

What do I do once I have successfully deployed my data science environment? You can launch the data science environment following the instructions on this page. There are Jupyter notebooks available on the environment with sample code to read and analyse the data.

What password should I use to access the data science environment? You should use the Secret Password you entered when deploying your Azure environment.

Why are my Azure credits being used up so quickly when I’m not using the data science environment (virtual machine)? You will be charged as long as the virtual machine is running. Please visit this guide to learn how to shut down your virtual machine when not in use.

How do I check the balance of my Azure credits? You can check the credit consumption by resource group by following the instructions on this page.

How do I submit results to the challenge platform? You can submit your results by following the instructions on the EY Challenge Website.

How do I access and view the leaderboard? Once you have enrolled for the challenge(s) on the EY Challenge Website, the leaderboard can be viewed on the “Challenge Ranking” tab.

When will the challenge close? This challenge will open on 1st March 2022 at 10:00 CET and will close on 3rd June 2022

Are PhD students eligible to compete? Yes, PhD students are eligible to compete.

Does the 2-year work experience limit include non-data science working experience? Yes, the 2-year work experience limit includes ALL work experience, and is not exclusive to data-science related experience.

How do I join a team? Once you have registered and enrolled for the challenge, you will be able to access the Teams tab on the platform. There is an option to request to join a team, look for the email of the person you want to join and click on that request.

I am getting an error in requesting for Azure student voucher "You can't get the voucher, please review the following items: You have to validate your new email address to apply for the Voucher." But I have already confirmed my email using the link received on the same email address. Before sending an email to

, please log out and log in using the new account (with the same old password) and try requesting for the voucher again. -
