Upgrade to a new release

Follow this guide if you would like to move your groups/comments/data from one version to another.

1.3.x - 1.4.x

This is compatible with any version between 1.3.x and 1.4.x and you can change between them fairly easily.

For an example, say you have on your desktop the application folder youtube-comment-suite-v1.4.1/ and want to upgrade to newly downloaded youtube-comment-suite-v1.4.4/.

1. Copy or move the following files/folders from the old release to the new release
   • commentsuite.json
   • commentsuite.sqlite3
   • thumbs/ (if exists)
2. That's it! The new release should be able to use the old files just fine.

Older versions

If you are using a version 1.2.1 or older it is recommended to just start fresh with a newer version.
