Starting with the 3.x release, you can now tweak the queue to your needs through the admin panel!

Auto-retry amount: how many times a failed job should be (automatically) tried again;
Keep failed jobs for ___ days: how long the failed jobs log should be kept in history;
Keep success jobs for ___ days: how long the success jobs log should be kept in history;

Those settings are located in Stores->Configuration->(Discorgento) Queue
