Common Ground is a social platform for communities, available on app.cg. The DAO is its collective of builders, contributors and community members, shaping the future of the project.

app.cg offers it's own unique feature set:

• Join, create and manage communities
• Community chats and roles
• Community posts - write long form content for the global feed
• Community plugins - integrate your own web apps (or games) into your community
• Voice and video calls, broadcasts with a video stage (all in Full HD)
• Event scheduling and registrations
• Native blockchain integrations
• Configurable email and push notifications (replies and mentions, pinned channels, community newsletters...)
• And all of that in a progressive web app, running just in your browser.
• Works on iOS, Android and all other devices we know of. Chrome-based browsers or latest Safari are recommended.

While it can be used as a website, we recommend adding app.cg to your home screen on mobile devices. On iOS, this is even required for push notifications.

Plugins are our most recent feature and allow rich customization of your community experience:

• Many useful plugins exist already (Games, Tools and other extended community functionalities)
• If you want, other communities can discover and use your plugins, too
• There's a ready-to-use base plugin available for builders: cg-base-plugin
• We offer great support for web-based, and additionally web-assembly based applications

We offer several open source libraries for builders, to easily build and integrate new plugins into CG.
