Alpine defaults to 'doas' and the 'doas-sudo-shim' package is more than just a symlink. Since these are distro defaults, and most users won't notice a difference, this should be preferred.

Thanks! Unfortunately Alpine is not the only distro using apk at the moment, out of the top of my head I can remember:

  • Wolfi
  • Chimera Linux

I would like to test that all the functionalities remain consistent, especially those provided by distrobox export. Could you test that all the flags we're using for sudo inside export are supported by the sudo shims? This should be done for:

  • Alpine
  • Wolfi
  • Chimera Linux

Oh, I hadn't realized. Wolfi doesn't even include 'doas' in its repos and in chimera's repos it's called 'opendoas'. So I guess this won't work.
