The LabelMe version on Conda Forge is outdated.
See https://anaconda.org/conda-forge/labelme.

Expected Behavior

Having the same version as the pip version.

To Reproduce

Install LabelMe from Conda Forge.

It is still behind with the version on Conda Forge being 5.2.1.

conda-forge has never been officially recommended installation option.

and I don't have access to either.

Too bad. As it is much superior to pip in the reproducibility axis.

Because conda-forge gives you the easy path to install NumPy and SciPy with Intel MKL which makes linear algebra much much faster.

does labelme use scipy?

I don't know. But it might be used in an environment which does.
