The team has started refactoring our main UI components to the new UI library Shadcn and Tailwind. In the meantime, we are working with a selected group of enterprise clients and established users to capture pain points and ideas for improvements to the existing user journeys, so if you have any feedback please do let us know on Slack or here.

Hi,

We are just starting to explore Webiny as a possbility for our multi-tenant solution. We offer customized themes for each client and because we use MUI we thought we can just use our existing themes and populate the webiny theme with it.

Does this roadmap item mean that the theming approach will change too and switch to Shadcn&Tailwind from the current setup?

Hi,

You're right. The new Admin UI will be using TW+Shadcn combo and the way the theme is customized will change (example here).

When you mention custom themes... What do you mean actually? Will themes be controlled by you and customized for each tenant through code, or, will the users do this themselves, like via a UI?

Note

Note that the current version is actually not using MUI, but RMWC.
