Hi, I saw your application. You may want to familiarize yourself with the discussion in this issue here too: #87 You may also want to add any relevant experience to your proposal that you may have, like any relevant programming languages that are aligned with this task. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here. |

Hi Nebojša, George, and everyone, I would like to introduce myself. I am Ryan Gabel, and I am a Master's Student in Computer Science at the University of Southern California. I discovered your Unicode Inflection Project while browsing GSoC organizations. Inflection appears to be an excellent general-purpose solution for allowing inflection of dynamically generated translated strings without having to individually specify each inflected form for each project.
In addition to Computer Science, I have always been fascinated by comparative linguistics and understanding the nuances and the way different langues attempt to convey the same meaning. My work experience includes internships at two AI translation companies, Deep Media and Viva Translate.
I saw the Unicode Project Idea document suggesting the "Integrate Unicode Inflection Into Message Format 2" project on the Google Summer of Code and I will be submitting an application, but in general I just wanted to say hello and contribute to the community on an ongoing basis.
It would be really cool to contribute to an API used by so many organizations and reaching so many people.
