[BUG] - test of JIT failing

Describe the bug

JIT error flagged by tests in dev branch

I think this is a change in the output style of the JIT debug strings but this does need to be fixed in the tests as well. Some filtering might be needed if we are going to include the random string in the assertion.

I can't find this error in the latest dev branch?

The point wise functions test - it might be something I introduced with some coordinate system changes so let me assign myself for this one and figure it out.
