Google Drive Sync Issues

Question

I set this up a few months ago and don't remember now how exactly I configured it, but it shows Drive sync enabled with password enabled, and shows the last sync being x minutes ago which also continuously changes, suggesting it's syncing quite frequently.

The issue is, I don't remember even setting up a password and don't have one saved anywhere, and while it's possible I did so and just didn't take note of it (not an issue, can always just start from scratch), that seems unlikely, and I wonder if I actually never set it up and it just looks like it is. This possibility seems reinforced by the fact I cannot find the backup file anywhere in my Drive, making me question that it's actually syncing.

So am I missing something? Am I not looking in the right place for it? Is it in some hidden location not visible to the user and only to the app? Or is it possible it's defaulting to look like it's syncing but it's not doing anything.

Note, I am not representing 2FAS, I am just a user as you are.
I agree, this is definitely missing, there is no password restore option and one seems to be locked out, if the password for the Google Drive backup got lost.

Here is a workaround:

1. fully close the 2FAS Auth app on the device ("fully" = also remove from the recent apps list)
2. disconnect 2FAS from Google Drive via Google Drive settings (more below)
3. reopen the 2FAS Auth app, disable Google Drive backup - you shouldn't be asked for the password now
4. to be on the save side, again fully close the app
5. reopen the 2FAS Auth app and set up Google Drive backup from scratch

To disconnect the 2FAS Auth app from Google Drive:

1. go to https://drive.google.com
2. in the upper right you see a gear (cogwheel) icon for settings, open the settings page with it
3. in the settings, choose "Manage apps" on the right
4. in the app list you should find an entry "2FAS Authenticator App"
5. for this app choose Options -> "Disconnect from Drive" (the other option "Delete hidden app data" is NOT sufficient)

My problem isn't that I'm locked out or that I forgot the password*, it's that it appears to be configured to sync to Drive but doesn't seem to actually be syncing, and I don't recall setting it to do so.

*As mentioned, if I did actually set it up, then yeah, I forgot the password, but it's not like I'm locked out because of that. But I think it's an issue of the app defaulting to say that it's syncing when it was never set up to do so and therefore isn't actually doing so.
