Android: want option to downscale and crop image to cover whole screen #1
Description
As the screen aspect ratio is unknown on Android, the launch image is currently scaled down proportionally to entirely fit on the screen.
Users would like behaviour similar to background-size: cover in CSS3; i.e. the image should be downscaled as much as possible, while still covering the whole display.
For cropping behaviour, it seems the best option would be to crop equal amount off the top/bottom, or left/right of the image.
