Support for SSD1309 OLED screens?

I have been using the excellent support for SSD1306 screens (https://github.com/tinygo-org/drivers/tree/release/ssd1306)

Is it a lot of work to add support for SSD1309? I have several of them and I'm willing to do some testing, wondering if someone wants to pair with me on it.

I could help you, I've just ordered some SSDS1309 (I²C & SPI, both 128*64) displays to work with you on this.
Not sure how much different from SSD1306 it's, but besides the official datasheet I usually look into arduino's libraries too, this is the first result I found https://github.com/sparkfun/HyperDisplay_SSD1309_ArduinoLibrary . It could be use as a base/inspiration.

In your case, I would:

• look into the datasheet : https://www.buydisplay.com/download/ic/SSD1309.pdf
• look into some arduino's or python's libraries as an example
• decided if it's better to start from scratch or maybe use an existing driver as a base (maybe ssd1306?)
• program one interface first (I²C or SPI)
• once the first is working fine, do the other (SPI or I²C)
• enjoy

I'll receive my devices in 2-3 weeks at least, until then I will not be able to test it, but feel free to post any doubt and continue work here.
