Hi,great library! I would be happy if I could help traslating in to Japanese if is it welcome:) |
Good day, I would love to start translating the documentation to german. :) |
Thanks @LuvbCa ! I've added your name in the list for German! |
Hi, I started a MR #1798 and saw this here afterwards. Please review german. |
The linked pr raises an interesting question, @lorenzolewis do we prefer formal or informal pronouns? The PR used the formal "Sie" and for comparison, the old react docs used informal "du" https://de.legacy.reactjs.org/ (the new ones aren't translated). My personal aversion to docs in german makes informal sound slightly more compelling to me but super unsure 😓 P.S. you can add me to the list as a reviewer for german i guess. |
Hi @FabianLars, that is a good point to be streamlined. |
Hi! |
Hi, I would like to contribute to Portuguese (Brazilian). |
Sorry, just seeing this. I don't have any input on formal vs. informal, I'd leave that up to the respective native speakers. I would advocate for using gender-neutral pronouns as much as possible and applicable so we can be as inclusive as possible, though 💟 |
Added @iOperator @mrarticuno and @FabianLars to the list of reviewers in the description |
Hi, I would love to help for Italian translation. |
Awesome! I added your name in @kettei-sproutty :D |
Hello! I would absolutely love to help on the Portugal Portuguese translation (if that's a thing 🙃). Cheers to the contributers! |
I can help with Russian localization |
@lorenzolewis I would like to help with the Portuguese (Brazilian) translation efforts. |
@lorenzolewis I also would like to help with translations for brazilian portuguese. |
It's unclear how a translation goes from "proposed" to "enabled" at the moment. Is this done in the Tauri Working Group Office Hours event? |
It's a bit random at the moment. Generally, when we see 2-3 people interested in a language we would enable it. Currently though the docs see too many/frequent changes so there'd be a high chance that we'd end up wasting your time. At least that's how i see it. I expect that we can enable more languages in a few weeks. Thank you for your interest in contributing! |
Hey @lorenzolewis (nice name BTW 😏) I'd like to be considered as an italian translator as well, I've just forked the repo and I'll start contributing soon.
|
Hi. |
Hi there! |
Okay so at the moment there aren't really any guidelines so maybe just start translating and once X% of pages are translated we'll enable the translation? 🤔 |
Hello everyone! I would like to help with translating into German and Russian. I also know Latin, but I don't think it's really necessary these days. 😄 |
Hello there, i am German native Speaker and i translated about/book.md with the help of my GPU and an local running LLM with ollama. I reviewed it myself and i want to ask if it is ok to do it that way or not? Because i saw a lot of law issues on that Topic on other Content types. EDIT: I saw in the Gemma Terms of Use that the user is responsible for the output generated by the LLM. EDIT: I made a gist with a sample i created that way for the German book.md: |
OK, if No one is Interested on my document i created then i will do a pull request if no one mind that i used a LLM for that. EDIT: But i can do it upcoming week only. I will have to take some time for that, but it will be get some time. I do a fork and do a merge on that with git. |
i also shared this in our team chat so the right people see this quickly. if there's also no response i assume it's okay i guess. |
OK, i will do the first samples on my place but i have to upload it there first if i have merged it on my fork with a commit. |
OK, please don't hate me but, my last pull request is 9 or more years ago and i forgot to read the Translating.md to the end before submitting and i noticed the "Note..." statement i didn't catch before that. I did not made a Draft about that. I submitted this: #3272 Hope i did nothing wrong. ´:-{ |
no worries, nobody cares whether it's a draft or not tbh. It's nice to use to indicate that it's wip but that's it 🤷 |
Ahm, if some one of the German native speakers could look at #3272 would be nice. I waited a bit too long for Review from German fellas there. @FabianLars had found an misspelling statement there and the Help would be nice there. |
Uh oh!

Happy translating!
