Preliminaries
I have ensured that:

  • I am running the latest version of Strongbox on the App Store by searching for Strongbox and clicking into it to see the Update button (or not)
  • I have performed a full restart of my device no matter how annoying that is

Versions
On macOS (please complete the following information):

  • OS: macOS Sequoia 15.4

** Strongbox Version **

  • Version: 1.60.35

** Firefox Version **

  • Version: 137.0

** Strongbox AutoFill firefox extension version **

  • Version: 1.2.3

Describe the bug
Unable to use Strongbox passkey to authenticate to api.id.me

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to https://www.irs.gov/payments/online-account-for-individuals
  2. Click on 'Sign into your account'
  3. Click on "Sign in with ID.me"
  4. Enter your username and password, click sign in
  5. Click "Passkey" to use a passkey as MFA
  6. Click "Continue"

Expected behavior
At this point, I should see a selection allowing me to get my passkey from Strongbox.
But instead, I get a popup "Touch your security key to continue with api.id.me". See screen shot of that popup

Additional context
I last modified the Strongbox database entry containing the passkey on July 26, 2024, with an earlier version of Firefox and Strongbox.
