Feature Request - RTIC support

I know I would love support for RTIC, I'm not fully sure what all that requires on the HAL side of things, but I do see other crates with an RTIC feature, so surely there is something.

I know I'm happy to work on this once I get finished with CAN (aka find time to sit down infront of a code editor outside of work)

Which HALs explicitly add support? I looked at the stm32h7xx-hal it has some examples that use RTIC, but it doesn't look like there was any explicit support added to the HAL. the stm32f4xx-hal adds monotonic timer support to its timer driver, but that seems optional?

I am mostly familiar with stm32f4xx-hal, I know it has an rtic feature. It must be the monotonic timer support you are talking about.

@oshaughnessya I got RTIC working without any changes, but with a big caveat: as its an async runtime and there isn't yet any support for async operations in this codebase, you would have to block tasks when using the existing drivers, unless you use the non-blocking functions and do some manual polling. On the plus side, I have been working at enabling async operation for SPI+DMA as a first step towards figuring out how async would work in this codebase.
