File storage default limit is 25 MB, is this a reasonable default or it's there just for safety reasons?

By default, this limit is set to 25 MB. This helps prevent clients from uploading unreasonably large files that could impact memory usage or processing performance.

As I see file storage functionality, it's a simple and very basic (though sufficient) Nextcloud replacement, without unnecessary functions.

So is it a good idea to use it for files over 1, 10 or maybe even 100 GB?

What do you mean with "simple and very basic"? Stalwart implements the full WebDAV, WebDAV ACL and JMAP for File Storage specs. There is nothing else to be implemented on the server side.
