Docker and Updates

Hello, I found the documentation article about updates, where automatic updates are described.
Now I’m a bit confused. Should I use Stalwart’s built-in automatic updates, or should I continuously update my Docker image (for example, with Watchtower)?

Do you have a recommended best practice for running a Stalwart server in Docker — using Stalwart’s automatic updates, or handling updates via Docker?

Hi @Tynopia - Automatic updates will be introduced once version 1.0 is released (hopefully mid next year) and the database/configuration schema is final. Until then we might release new versions that require manual upgrades and for this reason automatic updates are not yet possible.

Oh, I see! So currently the best way is to automatically update the Docker image, right?

You can Docker pull once there is a new release but always read the CHANGELOG before you do that in case you need to change some settings.
