[gui] memory leak?

Issue details

I tried making a search with regex (?is)(?=.\bapple\b)(?=.\bbanana\b).*
and the search never complete, it only got to like 4% and now even with the window closed i have that much memory and cpu usage

Can you please provide more details like the used Jadx-GUI preferences - especially the selected Code cache mode.

A memory like is always possible, but that usually depends on the APK or whatever you try to decompile. Can you provide the file you had loaded in Jadx-GUI when you were performing the search?

GitHub only allows certain file extension. You may need to rename the uploaded file to .zip or place it in a real zip file.
