how to efficiently use whenCompleteAsync

I am writing the code where I have to return the connection to pool after the cache object removed.
Following is my sample code:

public void removeObjectFromCacheAsync(CacheConstants cacheConstants,String key) throws Exception{
        String redisKey = this.getStringJoiner().add(cacheConstants.getCacheName()).add(key).toString();
        RedisFuture<Long> deletedKeys = null;
        try{
            connection = this.getConnectionFromPool();
            RedisAdvancedClusterAsyncCommands<String,String> asyncCommands= connection.async();
            RedisFuture<Long> keysExist=  asyncCommands.exists(redisKey);

            if(keysExist!=null)
                deletedKeys = asyncCommands.del(redisKey);


        }catch(Exception ece){
            logger.error("Error in removeObjectFromCacheAsync method");
            ece.printStackTrace();
        }finally {
                deletedKeys.whenCompleteAsync(new BiConsumer<Long, Throwable>() {
                    @Override
                    public void accept(Long aLong, Throwable throwable) {
                        logger.info("Inside the accept method of removeObjectFromCacheAsync");
                        logger.info("Long key"+aLong.longValue());
                        logger.info("Throwable message:"+throwable.getMessage());
                    }
                });
                this.returnConnectiontoPool();

        }

However when I tried to print the key value, it prints totally different key

. So how to track that if the object is deleted asynchronously so that connection object can be returned to the pool.
