Editor is not responding

(Please let me know if this is the wrong place for this).

I’m running Pulsar on an M4 Mac Mini. From time to time, Pulsar hangs and then pops up this message:

I have no idea what is causing this issue. I have a suspicion that it may be related to the fact that my project folder is on my an external drive, but that drive is an SSD, so it’s not too slow.

Currently, I have one window open with a single file, and another window with two project folders. I have about 20 tabs open in that window.

I don’t know where to start troubleshooting the situation, so any suggestion would be appreciated.

Version 1.130.0 arm64.

I’ve found a few other discussions on this, and, based on one, I disabled GitHub. That was a few hours ago, and, so far, so good …

I have notice some problem with github package too. I was not kicked out from Pulsar, but dev console logs a lot warnings about big lags. (I'm using Electron 30.)

There are some issues on Apple Silicon with any code that has to shell out (of which github certainly applies). The cause is specific to Electron 12. It should be a lot better once we finally ship 1.131.0’s Electron upgrade in a couple weeks!
