Can't use a reusable snippet inside a code block

My docs contain references to the current version of a product in multiple places. I want to maintain the current version as a variable in a reusable snippet and fetch the latest version from GitHub inside that snippet.

However, while testing how snippets work, I've found that while I can expand the variable to paragraphs or headers, I can't do it in code blocks.

Here's the snippet:

export const currentVersion = '0.2.0';

Here's the target file:

import { currentVersion } from '/snippets/current-version.mdx';

Current version is {currentVersion}. This renders as expected: "0.2.0".

`{currentVersion}`. This renders verbatim.

The reason this matters is that most of our installation guides are terminal command instructions, like this:

    mkdir -p productname && cd productname && \
    curl -OL https://github.com/productname/productname/releases/download/{currentVersion}/productname-dc-{currentVersion}.zip && \
    unzip productname-dc-{currentVersion}.zip && cp -n .env.defaults .env

I understand why this may not work out of the box, but is there some kind of special syntax or a different workaround that I could use?

FYI, here's a reply from Mintlify support regarding this:

While Mintlify supports variables in regular content, there's currently no built-in way to interpolate variables within code blocks - that's why the variable is only evaluated in the plain text but not inside the code block.
