Fan values discovered, but not populating with fan speeds

I recently updated my home server with an MSI Pro B860-P WIFI motherboard. I was able to re-use my existing config for OhmGraphite (sending stats to Influxdb), though I did download a newer v0.35.0 version. OhmGraphite does immediately detect the Nuvoton NCT6687D, and lists identifiers for fan/0 to fan/7, but only fan/0 (CPU Fan) and fan/1 (Pump Fan) are actually populating values. I do have devices connected to the fans listed as 2 through 4, and I have confirmed from the BIOS and the MSI Center applications that the motherboard can detect the fan speeds for the remaining fans.

Am I missing something in my configuration that's not allowing OhmGraphite to pull that information?

Are these values populated when you use the LibreHardwareMonitor UI? https://github.com/LibreHardwareMonitor/LibreHardwareMonitor (the official release and the nightly release)?

If not, raise an issue in that repo, otherwise I can investigate the issue in OhmGraphite 😄

@nickbabcock according to this merged commit, support for the Nuvoton NCT6687D is supposed to be added. That was a few weeks ago, but there hasn't been an official release of LibreHardwareMonitor since November 2024.

Thanks for the update. I cleaned up the previous version (including the .sys file), installed PawnIO, and copied the updated files for v0.36.0. Even though a total of 8 fans are identified via the nct6687d (CPU Fan, Pump Fan, System Fan #1 to #6), only CPU and Pump Fan are getting values populated. My motherboard (MSI Pro B860-P WIFI) is not explicitly on your list, though my hope was that the update would resolve the issue. Still appreciate the work, though!

And report back if the sensors are present that will help narrow down if this is an upstream issue or not 😃

I grabbed the latest nightly build of LibreHardwareMonitor, and looks like that's the source of the issues.

In addition, there are posts in the Issues section of LibreHardwareMonitor where multiple users at least mention the Nuvoton NCT6687D.
