Overview

As a potential NGINX customer, I want to understand what the product/component offerings are. I found the NGINX Management Suite documentation and am confused about what it is and how it relates to NGINX One.

Description

To help customers understand the NGINX One offering, we need to clearly indicate where older products are no longer developed or supported. In some cases, we have responsibilities to customers to retain the documentation as part of their contract, so the pages need to stay in production. Aside from de-indexing them, we need to update the pages to indicate clearly that the solution is no longer on offer and point users to the docs for the current offering instead.

Acceptance criteria

  • Update each of the NMS pages (docs.nginx.com/nginx-management-suite/) with text that clearly indicates the offering has been replaced by NGINX One and indicate the last version of NIM that constituted an NMS release.
  • Update the Agent pages to make it clear the instructions are for use in NMS only, including the specific version of the Agent that is supported.
  • Update the About page to indicate that the Instance Management and Security Monitoring module are now part of the N One ecosystem (NGINX Instance Manager) and point users to those docs.
  • Work with PM to understand which pages need to remain available online as part of subscriber agreements and ensure that we are complying with those requirements.
