Total of Ping "Up" sensors

Hi all, probably a simple one however its streaching the brain cells somewhat. I would like to display the number of "up" ping sensors and "down" for a group. IE

Group1 Wireless Access Points (20 up) and (1 Down)

i have managed to get all the ping up's to show in a table but showing 56 ping square on one screen seens to be a bit of a waste of real estate.
