Those strings are returned by LibXmp. LibXmp has some detection where it try to figure out which editor has been used to save the module, by e.g. looking at version numbers. In XM files, a string is stored in the file giving a hint. |

Sorry but difficult to explain





When using certains s3m or IT or xm files Nostalgic displays as MODULE FORMAT: for example Fast Tracker II (Sk@le Tracker XM 1.04) ?
Why is there sometimes different format in the brackets than the original format ?
Does it mean Nostalgic is able to detect the original format in brackets having been converted to ?
Here some examples for XM formats but there are also for IT or S3M
