EPG Support in MPV

Hello,

Would it be possible to add EPG (Electronic Program Guide) support to MPV ?

Currently, MPV does not provide built-in functionality to parse and display EPG data directly from streams (such as multicast IPTV). I believe this feature would greatly enhance the experience for users who watch live TV streams through MPV.

Is there any plan or interest within the MPV project to support EPG parsing in the near future? If not, I would appreciate any insights on technical challenges or best practices for integrating EPG support into MPV.

VLC handles this quite well in my opinion. But I prefer MPV’s minimalistic design and would much rather see this feature added here than switch media players.
