Before submitting a bug report

  • I updated to the latest version of Multi-Account Container and tested if I can reproduce the issue
  • I searched for existing reports to see if it hasn't already been reported

Step to reproduce

  1. Install Multi-Account Container v8.3.1 and unpin it from the toolbar so that the MAC button resides in the extensions panel
  2. Open the extension panel, click the MAC button and proceed to complete the onboarding process
  3. Click and hold the “+” button on the tab strip to select a container for opening a new tab in
  4. Repeat Step (3) 9 more times so that 10 containers are opened in total
  5. By now the survey modal should be available, however there is nothing to indicate that on the extensions button on the toolbar
  6. Click the extensions button on the toolbar
  7. Notice the MAC button in the panel has the “NEW” label on it, signaling the survey modal is available
  8. Click the MAC button and notice the survey modal is displayed

Actual behavior

The extension button on the toolbar does not signal users that there is a matter requiring attention regarding MAC i.e. the survey modal is available.

Expected behavior

An attention dot should be displayed on the extensions button on the toolbar if the MAC button is unpinned from toolbar and the survey modal is available.
