Upgrading MEOS from an old release

Hi,
I am using dev20190820 and since with 4 cams I get memory allocation failure, before I move to a Rpi4 I would like to try and upgrade the software.
I see I should use dev20201026, but can I just upgrade the firmware with a the firmware update command or should I first upgrade to the first stable and official 20190911, then to 20200606 and then finally to the dev I want?
