Steps to reproduce

1. have the automatic background feature on
2. quickly swipe the pages forward
3. you should be able to see a slight flash just as the page is shown on screen (during swipe animation)

Expected behavior

No flashing! that's inappropriate.

Actual behavior

black flash when pages comes into view, it persists even if the pages were already preloaded (ex: going a few pages back and redoing it still flashes)
