How to extend the functionality of a component?

I'm new to blazor and fluentui, so this might be a rather basic question, but how can i add costum events to a component?

My specific usecase: I use the multisplitter component and would like to add a double-click event to the splitter-bar. On double-click the pane (left to or above the splitter-bar) should equal the size of its contents.

We don't expose that event on this component. You are limited to respond to and handle the EventCallBacks that we fire from the components. These are listed per component in the documentation.

For the MultiSplitter you can handle callbacks for OnCollapse, OnExpand and OnResize

You can add @ondblclick="() => { // DO SOMETHING }" to literally any HTML element in Blazor. This also works for the FluentMultiSplitter and FluentMultiSplitterPane because they add all additional attributes to the corresponding component (verfied this in v4).

Perhaps you might be able to implement your desired feature like this.

This seems helpful. Now the issue is, that (to my knowledge) neither the FluentMultiSplitter nor the FluentMultiSplitterPane expose the splitter-bar. Is there a c# or razor native way to add the ondblclick event to the splitter-bar, without having to use JS and its queryselectors?

We don't expose it because we don't want it to be manipulated. It is a guard rails for us to keep the component working as we intended it to work.

That said, there is always the option to go a js route and 'hack it in'
