Description

Hi!

I a small request for adding support for the LTC2941... used on the RAK16002 Coulomb Counter module... to Meshtastic. This would allow for truly accurate battery percentage reporting for what I understood.

RAK16002:

The RAK16002 uses the LTC2941, which provides real coulomb counting mah in/out. This gives a much clearer picture of the actual battery state compared to simple voltage-based estimation. The module can be plugged into the IO slot on any RAK4630/RAK4631 wisBlock board.

I have a 4631, and I was considering buying this little thing to clip it on it but it looks like it is not just plug and play. Maybe I'm wrong and it would just work??

for reference:

I'm a total noob, but after hours of searching and troubleshooting the battery readings were so inconsistent, jumping around and not matching reality. I didn't know that it wasn't like any other electronic device like a smartphone or thing like that.

Proper support for this chip would solve a lot of headaches for people using RAK4631-based nodes honestly, I think there's a lot of them.

Thanks for considering it!
