Proposal

In order to allow adding more information to architecture diagrams Mermaid.js should add support for having text snippets attached to edges.

Example

Somethings like:

user:R -->|Request| L:service
user:R <--|Response| L:service

Thanks for raising this! I agree that adding support for edge text in architecture diagrams would be a valuable enhancement. I’ll give this a try and work on implementing the feature. I’ll share updates here as I make progress.
