Set separate option inventory - Issue with first option name being readonly option type.

Hi
When I set the option to read-only and only have one value, for example, this product has only a single color, SBA does not have a corresponding combination of options, it must be set to drop-down and requires two different options to set the combined inventory, how to set when the option is Do not participate in the SBA combination when read-only.
I only need to set the size of the inventory, which can improve work efficiency and store customer service experience.
SBA should add a feature, you can choose the option to set the inventory separately, instead of each option to participate in the combination, because some products require a lot of read-only single options, how can I modify it, can someone help me?

Please try to clearly demonstrate, explain, or otherwise show what is being discussed. I would like to reproduce the issue but am not sure what it is. Last I knew, option names that were set as read-only either are or could be skipped (there are some settings associated) such that they do not get populated in the process and/or they are skipped when stepping through a purchase. Furthermore, it generally doesn't make sense that a truly read only (different than display only) would have any quantity at all as generally speaking they are there for showing information only whether it is truly visible or hidden by CSS.

As far as setting inventory separately, the version provided here on GitHub allows populating quantities to a single option value within an option name, to a combination of option names (where one option value is assigned to each option name), and even the possibility to consider option values or combinations of them to have no impact on stock. I know that there is also an entire section of code that evaluates how many option names are set as read only so that the appropriate display method is chosen.

Ideally I would like to understand the current setup and then to also understand the desired setup, if you would please.

I think it should work only for options that need to set inventory, not all properties must have combined inventory

Sorry for the delay in response. I deleted the previous post because it contained information that I did not think you wanted released to everyone. I did receive that information and if it is necessary for me to use (and hasn't been changed) there is no need to provide it again.

So on this issue, I have verified that if the first option name is actually a readonly option name type, then the problem described occurs that on display, the option name is identified as out-of-stock and the "first" dropdown has no selections available. I have, however, identified that if any other option name is readonly then things work as one would expect.

In all such cases, if the option name type is readonly when attempting to work with inventory, the readonly option name is not presented for populating with stock. I did also try to set that readonly attribute when presented first as a non-stock attribute; however, it did not resolve the issue.

I've looked at the pad_sba_sequenced_dropdowns.php class file and in essence there needs to be some variable or action that carries forward the need to attempt to use or activate the next dropdown so that normal operation can continue.

The short term recommendation is to place the readonly attribute in any position other than the first until this is resolved; however, understand that there may be a business need to have it first. By the way, placing it anywhere but first has generally been suggested throughout all documentation that I have seen if it has even been addressed. I even thought that when I first incorporated readonly attributes that I may have identified this "weakness", but in the brief searches I've made, I have not seen that discussion of capabilities/limitations.

I am still looking to address the issue of a readonly attribute (option name) being placed first when other option names have selectable option values.

Not sure I understand this message. In the curent software, if each attribute is added individually (at least where I have tested with having one readonly option name and one option name having dropdowns, then I can generate an option value that has one quantity and a separate option value that has quantity. Neither has the readonly attribute associated with it.

Otherwise, the filtering logic requires that all attributes be combined or all individual. (unless an attribute is identified as non-stock).

How can I reproduce the issue described in the above text?

Fyi, I am unable to see your site using my mobile device. The three bouncing balls never go away. I think I had a similar issue on my desktop which I was able to rectify using some local css tricks to hide or redefine the bouncing balls.

Question 1. When the option has only one value, it is not directly selected by default. It is no longer necessary to click the drop-down selection. I think this is redundant.

If there is only a single option value within an option name where the option name is either a drop down or an SBA Simple Select (drop down) type, then the radio button that is presented should be pre-selected by default, whether that item has stock or does not. There was a question elsewhere about how that should be handled and without additional code for the condition when that single option value did not have stock, this was determined to be the best way forwards including leaving the option name enabled. Therefore, there should be no need to perform an additional click to select that option value.

If the option name is a radio type, then default selection is based on the settings in the attributes controller.

Read only attributes do not affect inventory and therefore are not shown when determining the attributes associated with the inventory. If an attribute was some other type when inventory was initially set and then changed to read-only the pre-existing inventory variant will remain unchanged but will serve no value to the code. The value remains present to support modification/addition of an appropriate variant. This is true as I recall unless Zen Cart settings have been modified to consider read only attributes as stock like items. Even if that is changed, from what I recall the includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/attributes.php file may need further modification to support that setting.

Further as I recall, to support dynamic filter, the default Zen Cart tags may need to be used which is a setting in configuration->Dynamic Dropdowns.

The read only attribute is again showing as the first option name on the store side. As of right now, that still results in no selection being available for the second option name. They need to be swapped.
