infinite scroll for product listing

Not an issue, but before I have a go at understanding how you've done this on the results page, to copy it into the main listings page, I was wondering if maybe you've already got it implemented/up your sleeve somewhere...?

No, for now only on the instant search results page...

The thing is, the product listing/sorting code in core Zen Cart is extremely messy and would really benefit from a complete overhaul (perhaps using some Laravel pagination features). Including but not limited to: getting rid of the unnecessary alpha filter, making sorting options uniform across all pages, etc.
Yes, I know, it's another thing in the already huge backlog of things that should be done on Zen Cart, and too few people are contributing to it... (and I'm not one of those few)

The code for the instant search results page is also quite clunky for this reason (I'm talking for example of the formatPageResults() function in zcAjaxInstantSearch.php).
This is the main reason I only did it for one page. It's bad enough as it is.

Absolutely. I did a mod to add another sorter and had to write (myself) a long readme about it to remind me how it works. Awful.

...which are not (publicly) documented and so not prioritised nor assigned to /owned by anyone, so any "progress" that may occur is completely random or driven by bug fixes.
