Why is it not possible to check for updates of applications installed on external SSDs?

You can check out the current beta here:

https://github.com/mangerlahn/Latest/releases/tag/0.11-beta-1

There is now a settings window where you can add more folders to check.

Thank you for the suggestion, but I tried the beta version, and unfortunately, the update does not complete successfully. It fails to finish downloading and does not install.

Do you mean the beta of Latest or the application you are trying to update with Latest?

I just tried updating two apps on an external drive using the beta and had no issues. Which apps are you trying to update?
