Current behavior

On the Your Work page the number of Work Items differs between Board Layout and List Layout.

For example, in List Layout I have 41 Completed Work Items. In Board Layout I am shown 44.

The same issue occurs on other Workspace members profile pages as well.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go to Your Work
2. Group by State Group
3. Change views between List and Board layout and compare quantity of Work Items in each State Group

Hi @leedsjb, could you please check if the “Show sub work items” toggle is turned off in the list layout? If it is, please turn it on and verify whether the count matches. I acknowledge the confusion here and we will work toward a more holistic solution.

Thanks @pushya22 - yes correct. I can confirm Show sub work items is the reason for the mismatch. In list layout it is turned off.

This raises a wider discussion about Show sub work items across Plane. I've seen multiple instances of this confusing team members where they think items are missing and this is the reason. Now it stumped me as well!

Kindly consider how to solve this problem across Plane.
