What happened?

The transparency setting is not working, so the centered dock is always fully opaque, as if transparency is set to 0%. I have tried multiple values between 0% and 100% but the visual output does not change at all.

Installation method - Linux Mint's built-in Extensions menu

Centered Cinnamon Dock Version 1.2 (2026-02-01 06:31:47)

System details -
OS: Linux Mint 22.3 (zena)
Desktop: Cinnamon 6.6.7
Kernel: 6.14.0-37-generic
GPU: AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT (Navi 33, RDNA3)
Kernel driver: amdgpu (DRM 3.61)
Mesa: 25.2.8-0ubuntu0.24.04.1
OpenGL renderer: AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT (radeonsi, navi33, LLVM 20.1.2)

Additional info - There are no other transparency-modifying or dock-modifying extensions or applets installed. The theme is the built-in Mint-Y-Blue, which does not add any kind of transparency. I have also tested this on the default desktop theme called "cinnamon" and the issue persists.

Image

The screenshot shows the transparency at 0%, 15%, 50%, 85%, and 100% settings. It looks the same at all of those.

Please let me know if you need any more details. Thank you.
