Windows server 2025

we have updated (on another machine) a remote server prom ws22 to ws25. With same application and settings we have some problems:

• opening app will open "home" local folder in the client machine (NB: we use onedrive on both locations for exchange data)
• sometimes closing panels into remote software will crash remoteapptool and we need to reconnect. When reconnect the first login in the remote software cause an error, retry the login accept normally the user.
• opening remote onedrive folders in exporting data from remote software is about 50% more slow than previous server.

I have been using the remoteapp tool for a while now.

I was just about to point out that I am running Server 2025 and have no problems, but then realised that I run this tool on WIndows 11 Pro because I couldn't have Adobe apps install on Server 2025 (adobe issue).

So the real question I have now, is why do you want this on Server 2025? You can just setup a proper RDS setup, Session Host, RDS Gateway etc.... it really isn't that hard, it works reasonably well and if its about cost, we all know you can get cheap keys with a little searching.

I am not saying you shouldn't use this, if there is something I am missing that this tool solves for you, then that's great. But if your using it to do something that can already be done with Server 2025, then I would suggest you have a rethink.

In my opinion this tool solves the problem of getting a RDS like system on NON Server systems. So in my case, I actually started and fully setup a full RDS system with the intention of running my Adobe Suite and other Photography software. But then worked out that Adobe refuses to install most of their software on Server 2025. So I had to resort to installing to a WIndows 11 Pro VM, which can't be used as a Session Host and doesn't have RemoteApp.

This tool solved allot of this for me.
