Kanri starts with Windows, but eventually it disappears, the process is running (so if I try to start it again it fails) but it does not show

To Reproduce
I tried many times to figure out what or when this happens but I never managed to see the exact moment. It seems to take a while.

Windows 10 22H2, Kanri 0.8.2

Does Kanri have a log file where it might give a clue of why it suddenly stops working correctly and (at least its interface) disappears?

There is also a log file that should be saved in the same location as the .kanri.dat file, but I couldn't find anything that suggests why this bug happens. Seems to be something wrong with the window opening logic.

I will try to figure out when this is happening. One question: the solution explained https://www.kanriapp.com/reference/troubleshooting/#the-kanri-window-is-not-showing-up-at-all is supposed to be a permantent solution or only applies until the next computer restart? In my case Kanri does show with Windows initially, it disappears at some point without me interacting with Kanri at all... so the events are:

• Turning on computer, Kanri loads normally
• I get to work on other stuff, other windows, i don't touch Kanri
• Kanri window disappears, it is not in the taskbar to be found, it happened at a random time so i only realize it when i look for it because i need to use it. I force close the process to be able to open it again.

It's a semi-permanent fix, usually Kanri should stay open and this issue happens sometimes, very randomly. Unfortunately I haven't been able to reproduce the issue reliably.

For now all i can report is that even after deleting .window-state.json, it happened again relatively soon, maybe after a second restart of the computer. In this case it happened right after Windows booted, so it never even showed up (but the process was running).

I use a multi-monitor setup, in case it has something to do.

I can suggest that if the bug is really hard to catch maybe an option for people affected like me is a debug setting somewhere (not easily visible to most of users) to automatically delete that file each time Kanri tries to run, i guess the only consequence is that it won't remember the window position or if it was maximized.

Do you know how to build Kanri from source?
If so, maybe you could try building the current code from the main branch. I have tried to add more robust handling of the window opening and I'd like to know if that fixes this issue.

Sorry, I promise I will test again as soon as there is a new release. I have no experience building apps from source and also I have important data in Kanri and I feel more comfortable testing stable versions. For now I will manage in the way it is.

If you want to, I could provide you with a test version later that you could try on another computer (or virtual machine etc.)
You're right about the data safety, I wouldn't recommend testing this on your important data.

Yes please. I can just copy the directory that contains the data (as a backup) and then test your new build in the same PC. I think it has to be tested in the same PC to make sure the problem triggers if it is still there.

thanks! i installed it already. I will wait at least a couple of days before updating this, since it is not clear when exactly the problem happens. But if two full days pass with no problems, it would be a good sign.
