Can I still apply for cname for any domain name? I will use a domain name to point to my server in advance, and then let jsorg point to this domain name.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking -- js.org subdomains will only be granted to sites that have content that is clearly related to the JavaScript community/ecosystem, as our README explains.

If you'd like to request a subdomain, open a PR for the request and we can review it and make a determination then.
