Show ModelView as Index after login

Hi,

I just started using starlette-admin for my FastAPI project, and so far it has been working very well for me. However, one thing I've been trying to do is using a ModelView as Index.

admin = Admin(
    engines["default"],
    title="Wastelinq Admin",
    base_url="/admin",
    auth_provider=CustomAuthProvider(),
    middlewares=[],
    debug=True,
    templates_dir="api/admin/templates",
    statics_dir="api/admin/static",
    index_view=AdminUserView(AdminUser, label="Admin Users"),
)
# admin.add_view(AdminUserView(AdminUser, label="Admin Users"))
admin.add_view(AdminCustomerView(AdminCustomer, label="Waste Service Companies"))
admin.mount_to(app)

In the code above, I would like for a user to login, then immediately see AdminUserView as index instead of a blank page. Can someone please give me some pointers on how to achieve this?

I was also looking to do above as you mentioned. You can only give a CustomView to the index view. So i created a Custom View that redirects to the model view url I want. You can see example below:

from fastapi import Request, Response
from fastapi.responses import RedirectResponse
from fastapi.templating import Jinja2Templates
from starlette_admin import CustomView


class StoreItemRedirect(CustomView):
    async def render(self, request: Request, templates: Jinja2Templates) -> Response:
        return RedirectResponse(url=f"{request.base_url}admin/store-item/list")

Now use that when you initialize admin.

admin = Admin(
    engines["default"],
    title="Wastelinq Admin",
    base_url="/admin",
    auth_provider=CustomAuthProvider(),
    middlewares=[],
    debug=True,
    templates_dir="api/admin/templates",
    statics_dir="api/admin/static",
    index_view=StoreItemRedirect(""),
)

I have redirected to the list url of my StoreItemView. Find out the url of your AdminUserView and change it accordingly. I don't know if this is a good practice or not, but it gets my work done.
