I'm the maintainer of the zxing-cpp project and became aware of this project here by chance today. Just in case you were not aware and this might be of interest to you, I'd like to point you to our android wapper library. Things you might gain are a 10x speed improvement and generally improved detection rates, including e.g. support for inverted symbols (#60).
