Roborock Qrevo Edge S5A Matter commissioning fails

Hey,
I'm aware that this should be used by devs building with the lib, but I was told to open this issue here instead of the core repo anyways. :)

Trying to onboard the roborock I run into what is seemingly a cert (chain) issue.
Per Marcel's suggestion I tried enabling test-net DCL, to no avail.
With that enabled, my phone (Android) is sometimes stuck on the second "Connecting to device" after I confirmed that I want to adopt an uncertified device, and sometimes I run into the same attestation error.
In the process I also restarted the Matter Addon multiple times which didn't help either.

It also came up that the vacuum may have been rooted, though that seems kind of unlikely to me given I was able to successfully update the firmware.

This is using the Matter Server Addon on HAOS 2025.7.2.

Well, Attestation error basically means that the certificate chain verification failed.
Did you try to add it to Google Home or Apple Home ? And of so, did you get a warning about te device being untrusted (or some message alike that) ?

I did try adding it to Apple Home successfully. It did tell me that the device is unverified though. (same for HA btw, the Google Matter flow also tells me it's not a genuine device and asks if I want to commission it regardless)

Then something is indeed wrong with the certificates ... you should contact the device vendor and ask for details

Yeah. This is not good. Your device is either compromised or they are doing some shady stuff at Roborock
