Node 10.24.1 Gulp 4.0.2 - ReferenceError: internalBinding is not defined

Hi everyone, I've seen a few issues logged with the same issue (all closed) in this project but I'm wondering if there were any other solutions any of you have come across.

The error:

What I have done so far:

• Deleted node_modules, cleared the cache and reinstalled
• npm install [email protected]

Have you tried running npm rebuild ?

No, it still breaks. I also removed the deprecated gulp-util and ran npm rebuild. I want to upgrade this repo to using a different version of node, wagtail and other much newer packages but this issue with gulp is preventing us from making those changes.
