Getting 404 Not Found for gemini-pro model on a new project

Description of the bug:

Hello, I am getting a persistent "404: models/gemini-pro is not found" error, even on a brand new Google Cloud project with billing and the Generative Language API enabled. I confirmed with a direct curl command that the issue is not in my code. It seems to be an account or platform-level issue preventing access to the model. The project ID is mutfak-sihirbazi-yeni. Can you please advise? Thank you.

I had the same issue.
I solved it by changing the model in index.ts code to:
const GENERATION_MODEL_NAME = "gemini-2.5-pro";
I hope that it'll work for you too.

p.s. you should also input:
const EMBEDDING_MODEL_NAME = "gemini-embedding-001";

Thank you for the suggestion. I tried using "gemini-1.0-pro", but I am still getting the exact same 404 Not Found error.

This confirms the issue is with my account's access to the models. @ChrissHennilston777 can you help investigate this?
