pdpv0: sync from `main`

Before FOC GA, while we're still on the side pdpv0 branch, we should do another sync from main so:

1. We get any recent Curio bug fixes
2. It makes it easier to support before we integrate back into main as part of pdpv0: integrate with main 💪  #822
