Question regarding FiFo use and Optimization

Hello,

when looking at the HLS reports, large FiFos are generated between layers and I was wondering what exactly they are used for, if all of them are needed and if they need to be as deep as they are?

I saw there is an optimizer pass to optimize the depth, I think this is already applied when using the VivadoAccelerator backend, correct?
