Your file structure seems clear and well thought out.
Inside /utils, you have a folder /models with just one file inside it, is this good practice?
There are also two files named islands.js which is a bit confusing (although they are distinguishable by the models file). Maybe it's easier to remove the folder and just give the files different names?
