Caret position resets when trying to type in the middle of the textbox

Hi, I've been testing out this module and noticed that when I try and insert a word in the middle of a sentence, my caret gets reset to the end of the TextArea as soon as I type a single character, making it very tedious to insert new text. Would there be a way to disable this character reset as either the default value, or as an argument for the component? Thank you.

This issue only seems to arise when the value is given as a callback input.
