btw just bumping in a 3.5 one leads to

I am running into the same issue... Since this discussion is quite old I am unsure if I missed a point while migrating?

Update your TypeScript version. We're using a mix of type inference features that is only supported in versions >= 5.8. This is documented in the 4.0 breaking changes.
